I don't know where this recipe came from....it's in one of my handwritten recipes collections.....I must have made it a while ago....it has "Great" marked on it. They do look delicious.
I should look through this book of mine more often............ HAWAIIAN BARS (Source: Unknown) 3/4 c. unsalted butter, softened 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple pie filling 1 c. flaked coconut Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter into flour, sugar and salt until mixture turns into fine particles. Remove 2 Tbsp.; set aside. Press remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 13x9-inch pan. Bake @ 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Spread pie filling over partially baked crust. Combine coconut with reserved crumb mixture; sprinkle over pineapple. Bake @ 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
