Ya know, Ann......every time I make cream puffs I wonder why I don't make them more. We love them too.
Help yourself Sue-I'm more than happy to share. Thanks so much...Hi Carol-you don't have to do the cream puffs in the ring-I've done that when I make the full size ones-it's a beast to fill though. I like doing them individually-easier to fill AND to serve. Speaking of fill-that filling for those is SO dang good...it's almost like a mousse....and it's another one that you can change up with all the pudding flavors out there......... Carol

Many years ago I made cream puffs and they were the large ones. It was my Mom's recipe and she loved to fill them with choc. Coconut cream would be great. There are a lot of puddings out there that would be good. The mousse sounds great. Thanks Carol.

Sorry Carol and Sue. I should have said chocolate. After reading my post I can see that you thought it was choc. coconut cream. My Mom's was choc. and I was thinking that I would like to make coconut cream ones. lol lol I'm thinking that mixture would be like having a mounds candy bar in a cream puff. Could be a good thing!!

That's OK! I'm with you-I bet coconut cream filling would be OMG GOOD in these......you're talking with coconut cream pudding? Ohhhh and how about adding some toasted coconut to the pudding before folding in the whipped cream?
MAN does that sound good huh?

Can these be made, filled, & refrigerated ahead of time or are they best filled shortly before eating?
I'd like to try this (think I can master this) but would be nice if I can make around noon to serve in the evening. Would they get soggy from being filled so early? Thanks. |

I made and filled these on Saturday-they were eaten on Sunday-no one complained.

Thanks for reply. OK, These will be made very soon. I really like the idea of the chocolate drizzle over them.
Wish I had one or ten right now. |
