I would have given this 5 stars because the cake was delicious. the frosting, however, was unappetizing to look at - so much so that I did not put it on the cake. It DOES NOT look like the frosting in the picture provided above. My 9 y/o daughter put it best: "It looks like tuna salad!"

Not a big icing fan, so I just dusted it with icing sugar. This cake is da bomb, and is a nice change fron banana loaf for those of us who don't manage to eat all the bananas we're supposed to. Totally gift-able.★★★★★

I just made this recipe using the "dark chocolate fudge" premium cake mix. I made cupcakes and frosting isn't necessary. The bananas and walnuts, along with the added sugar (I only added 1/4 cup) makes this recipe sweet and delicious.

This is a low calorie dessert without frosting.

I did this cake for thanksgiving and my family loved it :) i did the icing with coolwhip & creamcheese and it was great. But it was a little dry to me. Does any one know what causes the cake to be dry? I always do boxed cakes and they are always moist, its the first time i did one like this with extra ingredients. What did I do wrong?
