Almost like ice cream sandwiches, but without the ice cream headache! Chocolate and vanilla are always an incredible combination, especially when it's Duncan Hines Dark Fudge Brownies and Chocolate Chunks.
- 1 pkg Duncan Hines® Chewy Fudge Premium Brownie Mix
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 can Duncan Hines® Creamy Home-Style Classic Vanilla Frosting
- Preheat oven to 375 ºF. Grease cookie sheet.
- Combine brownie mix, egg, water and oil in large bowl. Stir until well blended and soft dough forms. Drop by level measuring tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 ºF. for 7 to 8 minutes or until cookies are set in center. Do not over bake. Cool for 1 minute before removing to cooling rack. Cool completely before assembling.
- Spread frosting on half the cookies. Top each frosted cookie with another cookie. Gently press together.

My daughter wanted me to make a goodie to share with her & her roomies, in college. They "woofed" them down, and wanted me to double recipe next time!

I have made these into brownie pops. Just stick in a lollipop stick into middle of cookie before baking. When cool just decorate for whatever occasion. Kids love them!!!

These cookies are AMAZING!! I made them for my friends and they all love them. I've even made them for a bake sale and they were one of the first things to go.

I grabbed this recipe just for the cookie part. It is our new favorite. I plan to use it next for a birthday present for work, adding white chocolate chips. I hope that works out, but my co-worker doesn't mind being the guinea pig!!

They are amazing. Even better if you put them in the fridge when you are done. If you are from the northeast, they taste like Devil Dogs from Drakes Cakes.

I made these today, the recipe was different on the brownie box that I followed. I baked for about 13 min. I think they could have been baked less. I will try this recipe next time. But they were still yummy!

I agree, this recipie could be made in many variations, but I really appreciate the tip and idea, I would have never thought of this on my own.

The recipe on the brownie mix is slightly different than the one listed here. I used the recipe on the box and the cookie sandwiches were delish!

Denise - I'm sure no expert but I would make two boxes of brownies (for cookies or the expected brownies) separately .... one at a time. You can use the same bowl and other tools but still mix and stir one at a time.
