Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie Cookies are a perfect marriage of rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter, easy to make and fun to share.
Cookies:
- 1 box Duncan Hines® Chewy Fudge Premium Brownie Mix or Duncan Hines® Milk Chocolate Premium Brownie Mix
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 oz of softened cream cheese
- 1 egg
Peanut Butter Filling:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
Frosting:
- Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, beat brownie mix, softened butter, softened cream cheese and egg. Mix either by hand or by using a mixer.
- Roll 1 tablespoon of dough into balls and place on lightly greased or parchment lined cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Should make 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
- In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and peanut butter together and roll into small balls using about 1 teaspoon. Press peanut butter balls into surface of uncooked brownie cookies and slightly flatten cookie. Bake for 12 minutes or until edges are set. Cookies may appear slightly under cooked, but do not overbake. Cool on cookie sheets for about 3 mins and transfer to wire rack.
- If Desired: Place 6 tablespoons of frosting into a microwave safe container and melt (30 seconds), drizzle melted chocolate over top of cookie. Cool.
Tips:
- For easy clean up, place wax paper or parchment paper under wire rack -- then drizzle the frosting on cookies.

Upon my husband's request for peanut butter and cookies, and my idea to bake brownies, I was in search of a brownie cookie recipe. I came across this one and decided to try it. They are amazing! No one can stop after just one cookie.

Love these! I also altered the filling to 1/2 powdered sugar, 1/4 peanu tbutter, 2 tablespoons soft butter, and 1 tablespoon of honey (this is the secret to making the filling to taste like a Reeses PB cup.). Great Recipe!!

Love these cookies!! I altered the peanut butter filling a little.. used a 1/2 cup powered sugar 1/4 cup peanut butter and 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Cut back on the really rich peanut flavor. They are a definite hit with the kids and adults! So easy to make.

These are the BEST cookies. My childrens church kids loved these cookies because they got the best of both worlds... peanut butter & chocolate! I have been asked to make some for work, I did not put the frosting on and they were still just wonderful!!

Great cookies. I will make these for Christmas gift giving. The peanut butter filling reminds me of my mom's peanut butter eggs she used to make.

Use parchment paper and they slide right off. The cookie doesnt spread that much so you may want to flatten them out some. Make the peanutbutter ball small b/c they stay gooey and has alot of flavor. Excellent with milk!

Cookie tastes great!!! I cooked first batch on ungreased cookie sheet as per directions and let cookies cool on it. I ended up with cemented cookies. Next batch I used wax paper, cooled again on cookie sheets, tried to peel off wax paper and it stuck. Third and final try, i used parchment paper, with cooking spray. This made it easer. I also took the cookies off after only a minute of cooling.

This recipe caught my eye so I decided to try it out and whaddya know, easier than I thought! I like that the peanut butter sits on top instead of being just mixed in like a normal cookie, makes it really soft and chewy. I made a double batch and good thing I did, they were gone in minutes! Bring me more like this!

Okay, this is my new favorite cookie to bake! I love chocolate and peanut butter, and the way this bakes up, both parts of the cookie are soft and chewy which is amazing!
