Snickerdoodles

Recipe Description
Warm cookies made with Duncan Hines Classic Yellow Cake Mix, pulled fresh from the oven and rolled in sugar and cinnamon. Why not whip up a batch of Snickerdoodles today?

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 ºF. Grease cookie sheets.
  2. Combine sugar and cinnamon in small bowl.
  3. Combine cake mix, eggs and oil in large bowl. Stir until well blended. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place balls 2-inches apart on cookie sheets. Flatten balls with bottom of glass.
  4. Bake at 375 ºF for 8 to 9 minutes or until set. Cool one minute on cookie sheets. Remove to cooling rack to cool completely.

These are wonderfully easy to make and eat, too! I can't wait to try other flavor cake mixes to see what I can come up with.

These were absolutely delicious! only thing I changed was I added 1tsp of cream of tartar and used the butter recipe yellow cake mix. This will be my snickerdoodle recipe from now on!

I made these cookies today and instead of using sugar I used Splenda. They were Yummy.

A true "snickerdoodle" always has cream of tartar, otherwise it is an cinnamon sugar cookie. Good either way, but my family loves a true snickerdoodle.

2 tsp cream of tartar should do the trick.. from an old family recipe I have.

Used to make from scratch. Why??? Sooo easy and soooo good!! Like the other baker, my husband is fussy about his snickerdoodles, but loves these. So this is my new method.
