Has anyone made these using a chocolate cake mix, so they are like chocolate crinkles?

Everyone loved these! Only different thing I did was that I added a dash of cinnamon in the cookie dough and I didn't flatten the cookie like in the instructions. I got great puffy flavorful cookies! Huge hit!

These are great. I used French Vanilla. They came out perfect. Also added white choc chips. Very rich. YUM!

Delicious but time consuming-- It took me some time to roll each one and coat it with the sugar/cinn. mixture.

This ARE delicious - I've also used Lemon Supreme cake mix and roll in powdered sugar instead of cinnamon sugar, also add a splash of lemon juice to mix. So very, very good!

These cookies are just wonderful. I made 2 batches one with the Yellow cake mix and the second one with a Chocolate Fudge cake mix. Boy, oh boy are they both good, but the chocodoodles (as I called them) are just awesome. I needed to bake cookies for bake sale and I only had one Yellow cake mix, so I thought I'd give the Chocolate Fudge mix a try and am I glad I did. I think it would work with almost any flavour of cake mix.

So glad I found this website last night or I wouldn't have had anything to take to the bake sale.

probably whatever the cake mix is, is the nutritional values on this plus a little sugar.

I did some math because you can not go by just the cake mix as it says baked for when you add 3 eggs 1/3c oil and the water, so i did the math on eggs, oil, dry cake mix and sugar... and i did this for about 18 nice size cookes and this is what i got. for 1 cookie it would be 669.5cal and 60.5fat grams CRAZY~ so i tried this recipe using inplace of oil applesause and this is the calories for that 194 and only 5 fat grams... can have more with those numbers however its not as rich tasting as the one with oil but still pretty good... see there is 1/4 oil in this cookie recipe and well there is 4tbsp of oil in 1/4c that is 480cal and 56fat grams where as applesauce only has about 4 cal for 18cookies and no fat. hope that helps.

I was just looking at this and have been watching calories lately and 669.5 cal sounds awfully high for these cookies. I entered the recipe into My Fitness Pal using the cake mix, sugar, cinnamon, 2 large eggs, 1/4 cup canola oil, and 36 servings and it came out to 66 calories and 2.3 g fat per cookie. So for 18 cookies, it would be about 132 calories and 4.6 g fat. Of course, if you use applesauce instead of oil that would make it even less. :) So, I don't feel quite so bad about eating one of these cookies tonight! :) Here are other stats at 36 cookies: .5 gram sat fat, 11.7 mg cholesterol, 91.3 mg sodium, 10.9 g carbs.
