This is delicious but yes, adjust the temp.

A delicious whole grain treat with a crunchy top, Apple Cinnamon Whole Grain Loaf with Oatmeal Granola Topping is made with our famous Duncan Hines Simple Mornings Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix.
- 1 box Duncan Hines Simple Mornings Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix
- 1/2 stick softened Butter
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup water
- Beat dry mix, softened butter, eggs and water together.
- Pour batter into a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
- Swirl in apple cinnamon pouch. Sprinkle granola on surface of loaf.
- Bake at 350° for 30-35 mins until golden brown and done in center.

375 degrees is the average temp for muffins and quick breads. If browning too quickly make a foil "roof" to keep it from over browning ,but it needs the temp for a better rise.

does anyone know what you add to a regular cake mix to make it into a red velvet cake we used to do it aa long time ago,it is chocolate and red food coloring and what else?

Chocolate ,red food coloring, buttermilk in place of water. Hope it helps, everything else just as stated on the box,i.e,eggs & oil

I agree with sleepgoblin, use the 375 degree oven as per the box instructions and I had mine in for about 40-45 minutes. Smells great and tastes wonderful!

I made this to accompany spiced wine for a night with friends. Everyone really liked it. I'd never had this particular muffin mix before, and I was really impressed with it. The apple packet was yummy, and the granola on top was a great touch.
As for the recipe itself, it's not quite right. After 35 min in a 350 oven, my loaf was still pure liquid. I ended up raising the temp to 400 for another 15-20 min, then lowering it to 375 once it started rising because I was afraid of burning the topping. The muffin recipe calls for 375, so I would recommend starting with that and keeping an eye on it. Even with an entire hour in the oven though, it came out delicious. I'd definitely recommend this.
