With such a fruity flavor and silky texture, you won't believe that you can whip it up in only 20 minutes. But with this Deliciously Easy Strawberry Mousse recipe it's true!
- 1 (12 oz) pkg milk chocolate chips
- 1 (8 oz) container frozen non-dairy whipped topping
- 1 tub Duncan Hines® Creamy Home-Style Strawberries 'N Cream Frosting
- fresh strawberries
- Place chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl and heat on high for 1 minute. Stir, and heat an additional minute or until completely melted and smooth.
- Line medium size muffin tin with paper baking cups. Spread 2 tablespoons chocolate on the inside of the baking cups, making sure to spread chocolate all the way to the top of paper cups. Place in refrigerator until hard. Remove from refrigerator and gently peel paper cup away from chocolate.
- In a large mixing bowl, gently fold together non-dairy whipped topping and frosting until well blended
- Spoon 1/2 cup frosting mixture into each chocolate bowl. Garnish with strawberry half if desired. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

I too wondered this, and so I did a little research and the consensus was you could.

I tried these last week and they broke in a million pieces. I even let them sit over night in the refrigerator and i had to throw them in the trash they looked so bad.

You could try doing several layers for the chocolate. Just use a brush to add more and keep refrigerating. Depending on what flavor combos you use a thicker cup might be better. Imagine white chocolate cups with a mocha like mousse! Yum.

Alright, I've not tried this yet, so don't take my advice here without a wee bit of knowing that this too might fail. I saw a blog where she showed pictures of doing this with ice cubes. She froze cubes in shapes, released them from the form, and dipped them in chocolate. She placed them upside down on a rack to allow the cube to evaporate. If this works, genius!
