Fruit Brulee

Recipe Description
Caramelized fruit.
Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • 4 cups seeded watermelon balls
  • 1 cup sliced nectarines
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur or orange juice
  • One 8oz. carton sour cream
  • 2 tsp. finely shredded lime peel
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  1. Arrange fruit in 4 dessert bowl. Drizzle with orange liqueur.
  2. Combine sour cream and lime peel. Spoon mixture over fruit.
  3. To caramelize the sugar, in a small, heavy saucepan cook sugar over med.-high heat until sugar begins to melt.
  4. Do not stir. Once it starts to melt, reduce heat to low. Cook 5 mins more. Quickly drizzle over each serving.

This is a wonderful light finish to a heavy meal. I have used Galiano as well and it tastes great.
