Chocolate Coconut Donuts

Recipe Description
Freshed baked donuts dipped in the Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Chocolate Marshmallow and topped with coconut is a special treat for any occassion.

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • 1 packet of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Chocolate Marshmallow Flavor Mix and 1 can of Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter
  • Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • •1 1/3 Cups Water
  • •1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • •3 Large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Flavoring
  • 1 1/2 cups Coconut Flakes
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe Devil's Food Cake Mix with 1 1/3 cups water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, and 3 large eggs.
  2. Pour the batter into a piping bag or ziplock bag with a small hole cut into the bottom to pipe into donut maker (babycakes donut maker used in this instance, yielding six donuts at a time).
  3. Taking 4-5 minutes to cook.
  4. Once removed from donut maker, place donuts onto cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
  5. Pour pack of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Chocolate Marshmallow Flavor Mix into can of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter. Stir until evenly blended.
  6. Put the frosting into a microwave safe bowl. Heat frosting in microwave for 45 sec until a liquidy consistency.
  7. Place the 1 1/2 cups of coconut flakes into a seperate bowl.
  8. One donut at a time, dip into the bowl of liquified frosting. Then dip into the bowl of coconut flakes. Place donut back onto the baking sheet with the parchment paper.
  9. Let set in refridgerator and remove right before serving.

recipe states 1 tsp vanilla flavoring. where is it added in? the cake mix or with the frosting?
